Online personal accounts for non-residents
We encourage you to use online services. See the “Services” page on impots.gouv.fr.
You can use online services to:
-
file and correct your income and/or asset tax return (unless you are declaring for the first time)
-
declare information relating to the real estate you own
-
manage your withholding at source
-
pay your taxes, change direct debits, adjust the amount of your direct debit contracts (for property taxes and residence tax)
-
consult your notices, returns and payment status
-
access your secure messaging inbox
-
update your personal details
-
search property transactions to estimate the value of your assets
From 2019, filing returns online is now mandatory for anyone with internet access at their main residence (with exceptions).
With online services, your inquiries will be automatically delivered and you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt.
Important:
- In 2023, you do not have access to the online tax return and must therefore send a paper return to your tax service if you are declaring your income and/or assets in France for the first time.
- The Tax Directorate for Non Residents (DINR) does not handle local taxes or taxes on property located in France. If you have an inquiry, make sure to include the address of the property in question so that it can be directed to the appropriate department.
