If you are a non-resident of France for tax purposes, you are only liable to wealth tax on your assets located in France. Your financial investments are wealth tax-exempt.
The following are not financial investments and are therefore liable to wealth tax subject to international treaties:

securities representing an interest of more than 10% in a company's share capital

shares or stock of companies whose assets are mainly properties in France
-
indirectly-held property or property rights
