How do I monitor my claim online?
If you have filed your claim online, you will be informed by email that it is being processed and you can consult the tax authorities’ response by logging on to your personal account and going to the “Nous contacter > Ma messagerie sécurisée” section.
Obviously, you can log on to your personal account at any time to monitor the progress of your request.
The tax authorities’ decision
Theoretically, the authorities should make a decision concerning your request within six months following the date it was submitted.
If your claim is accepted, your tax office will inform you in writing and will repay the surplus amounts to you.
If repayment of taxes is decided on by a court or the tax authorities (except for decisions concerning equitable or automatic relief), you are entitled to payment of interest on arrears (calculated from the payment date up to the repayment date) and the return of any amounts paid as guarantees in the event of an application for a stay of payment (reimbursement of expenses).
If your claim is rejected, you will be informed in writing and the decision will be justified.
